Campus Crime

GTPD Holiday Safety Tips

Every year GTPD sees an increase in opportunistic crime during the holidays. Here are some tips to avoid being a victim:

• If you are leaving your vehicle on campus during the holidays, ensure doors are locked, valuables are hidden, and windows are up.

• In residence halls, lock doors and windows before leaving.

• Take large valuable items home over break (iPods, computers, etc.)

• Greek organizations should provide GTPD with a contact for the house while everyone is away. Greek houses should secure all doors, windows and items outside of the house.
