Executive Round Table apps due

Applications for the Executive Round table are due Monday, Sept. 24. Executive Round Table (ERT) is a forum for students, faculty, and industry members to come together in a discussion setting. Guest speakers present to ERT members on a variety of topics and the issues are discussed between members from all different walks of life. ERT meets one Thursday night per month for dinner meetings.

Project investigates life's origins

Tech and Emory University have received a $1.5 million grant from the National Science Foundation to establish "The Origins Project," a center for integrated research, education and public outreach focused on the chemistry that may have led to the origin of life. The center's research will seek to understand how molecular building blocks can spontaneously form molecules like DNA and proteins that are essential for life.
