The number of times Tech and Boston College have met in football. Tech leads the series 4-1, but lost the most recent game, a game played in Atlanta in 1998. The Eagles took the win, 41-31.

This is the first time the two teams meet as conference opponents; Boston College only recently joined the ACC after a long tenure in the Big East. This is also the first time the two teams meet as ranked opponents. Tech was ranked No. 17 in 1991 when they met in Chestnut Hill, but Boston College was unranked.

The number of runners on the women's cross country team who finished in the top 25 of their races. The women's cross country team finished first at the UTC Invitational this past weekend. The men's team finished fourth.

The team is splitting up to two different locations this weekend, with some of the team making the trip to Vanderbilt and others to Georgia State.

The number of consecutive games won by Georgia before Tech volleyball ended the streak at the Georgia Tech classic. The Bulldogs took the first game, 31-29, but the Jackets took the next three to hand the squad their first loss of the season.

The number of points the football team has scored through its first two games. The number is a record number for the team as it is the most points it has totalled in a two game stretch in over 70 years. The last time they reached such a number was in 1936, when the Jackets opened the year with a 55-0 win over Presbyterian and a 58-0 win over Sewanee.
