Golf team earns perfect APR score

Tech golf was given a perfect Academic Progress Rate score. The scores take into account the last three academic years and measures performance based on a formula that awards schools points for athletes that remain academically-eligible and deducts points for those that do not. The squad's score is in the top 10 percent of all golf teams.

Senior golfer Roberto Castro was also honored as he was named one of five finalists for the Byron Nelson Award, given to the nation's top graduating senior golfer. The winner will be announced before the NCAA championships.

Volleyball begins European trip

The volleyball team extend their spring season into Europe, playing six matches against teams in Germany, Austria and the Czech Republic. The team will visit cities in all three countries and will return to Tech June 1.
