In an attempt to find a sport that can almost guarantee success, the Athletics Department has added the Bar Crawl as a competitive activity.

"The sport recognizes no divisions and only has two other schools participating in it, but we feel as though it has great potential to grow and become a premier sport," said Damon Evans, Athletic Director of the Bulldogs.

Bar crawl is an activity that is commonly played at night and usually by people seeking alcohol.

They attempt to go to more bars than their competitors. While it can be played at an individual level, it is much more widely recognized as a team sport.

With refusal to be accepted by the NCAA, the administration went through special deliberation on whether to allow scholarships for student athletes entering into the school. After a short vote, the board was unanimously in favor of providing aid to these students.

"The last thing these kids need to worry about is tuition and board. They need to focus on what they do best," Evans said.

The school plans to hold try outs for potential team members. Students showed a mixed reaction to the addition to their athletics program.

"Is this really necessary? I feel as though 80% of the people here participate in this sport on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, even Thursdays," said Steve Bartman, a third year student majoring in dance.

Others agreed with the statement but reflected a different sentiment.

"It's going to be really, really, really hard to get on that team," said Musiq Pyrate, a fourth year housing major.

The school has diverted funds out of their Biology Department in order to help provide the money to build a stadium and training facilities.

"We have to look at what's best for the school, and right now finding success in a sport takes precedence over all other considerations. Even education," Evans said. "We feel that we have a very good chance of dominating nationally."
