Women on the increase

Statistics on the incoming freshman class have just been released, and the number of both female and minority students saw significant increases. The 2004-2005 freshman class is composed of nearly 800 women, as well as 108 Hispanic students.

BuzzCard dumps Papa John’s

The branch of Papa John’s Pizza closest to Tech, which had previously accepted BuzzCard payments for its pizza, drinks and other food, no longer allows students to pay with the card.

Track and Field shatters records

Sophomore Chaunte Howard captured her second straight national championship in the women’s high jump at the NCAA Track and Field Championships in Austin, Texas. Howard finished with a clear of 6'4.00” to lead the women’s track and field team.
