Student Professional Awareness Conference

Sponsored by IEEE, the Student Professional Awareness Conference is next Wed., Feb. 23 from noon until 5 p.m. in the Student Success center. Food and prize giveaways will be included.

SGA election packets available next week

It's that time again... From Feb. 21 to 29, applications for SGA representative and executive positions are available. All applications can be picked up from the SGA office, room 131 Student Services. Copies of the elections code will also be available.

Honors Scholars applications due

Completed applications to become an Honors Scholar are due Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. in the Student Government Office. The applications are still available at the same location. Scholars will be announced at the SGA meeting on March 21.

Sports Orgy

Freshman Experience is getting ready for the spring sports orgy. Details will be coming in future weeks. www.fitten.gatech.edu/sportsorgy is the website with all the information.

Want to be a publication editor?

Applications to be editor of Blueprint (yearbook), Erato (literary magazine), North Avenue Review (open forum magazine), T-book (online guide to Tech), and Technique (newspaper) are available today in Student Services Building room 137. They are due back Friday, March 3.

While previous experience is recommended, it is not required. The application process includes the form, proposal for the Editor position, and an interview with the Board of Student Publications. The publication editors are appointed by the Board of Student Publications.

National Engineer's Week

Feb. 20-26 is National Engineer's Week and Tech will be celebrating with outreach programs to high school students and an Engineer's Carnival Feb. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. along Skiles Walkway. The carnival will feature corporate recruiters and representatives from student organizations.
