Various groups win Homecoming events

Pam Lin represented the sorority Alpha Gamma Delta when she performed at the Talent Show, where she won third place.
At press time, the results for several homecoming events have been announced.
First place in the Mock Rock competition went to Delta Chi for 'Battle of the Dancers' between breakdancers and Irish dancers.
Alpha Xi Delta also won in their category for their lipsynching show.
In the Talent Show, the first place for large group was awarded to Phi Mu for their dance presentation.
The top act in the 'Cajun Sensations' event was Michael Clements and Jerry Wang of Delta Chi for their body percussion performance titled \"Whackin' It.\"
Tech Trivia night, sponsored by the Student Center Homecoming committee, was a Junior's Grill Tuesday night while their Talent show was also in progress at the Ferst Center.
Although banners and displays have been put up at Greek houses all over campus, the results of these competitions will not be announced until the game tomorrow.
Many other competition have also taken place, but the results of these were not available at press time. Other competitions and event have yet to occur.
The annual Mini 500 will be held today at 3 p.m. around Peter's Parking Deck.
Remember to go out and support the Jackets at the Pep Rally on Friday in the parking lot next to the Athletic Association.
Tomorrow's events include the Ramblin Reck parade and the football game against UNC-Chapel Hill.
The Freshman Cake Race begins at 7 a.m. tomorrow. Both it and the parade are sponsored by the Ramblin Reck Club.
The banner and display winners will be announced along with this year's Mr. and Ms. Georgia Tech at the football. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. and the announcements will be during halftime.
